What we do

Practical advice. Clear reporting. Defensible reasoning.

This website is intentionally built from editable WordPress blocks. Open any page, select a section, and edit or move it in the normal block editor.

Opinion Based Inspections

Opinion Based Inspections

An inspection opinion explains observed conditions, likely causes, risk, workmanship and recommended action. It is useful for early advice, dispute triage and practical decision-making.

Compliance Reports

Compliance Reports

A compliance report assesses the work against identified instruments such as the NCC, approved documents, relevant Australian Standards, tolerances, manufacturer requirements or contractual scope.

Expert Services

Expert Services

Expert services are provided within a stated scope based on training, experience, licence classes, certification, accreditation and continuing professional development.

Performance Based Solutions

PBS work has a separate specialist website.

The Performance Based Solutions page on this site is a simple gateway. It can later be modified in detail, while the main specialist PBS site remains available at performance-solutions.au.

Important distinction

Opinion-based inspection versus compliance report

Opinion Based Inspection

Identifies what was seen, what it may mean, likely cause, practical risk and suggested next steps. It is not automatically a formal compliance determination unless the scope says so.

Compliance Report

Assesses the work against identified compliance criteria. It should state the applicable code, standard, approval, document, defect item, tolerance or contractual obligation relied upon.

Process

A structured approach to building matters

1

Define scope

Confirm the question to be answered and the documents available.

2

Inspect or review

Inspect the property or review drawings, photos, reports and correspondence.

3

Assess

Assess against the selected scope, standard or compliance pathway.

4

Report

Provide clear findings, limitations, assumptions and recommended next steps.
